Now, let's talk about the $700 BILLION DOLLARS of stupidity we hear about in the news...we've been talking about that both at home and at work. The part that nobody's talking about is the infrastructure of this whole loan/buy-back thing: It will require:
-Lots of people to manage the loans - there's a LOT of bad debt
-Lots of buildings and equipment to contain these people who will be managing the money
-Collection Reps
-Real Estate professionals
-and all the other consummables and services required by a large business
Where does THIS money come from? Hmmmmmm....wait! I know! From ME and YOU ALL,"Joe/Jane Six Packs"!!! But we won't tell Joe we're raising his taxes...at least not before the election, and we may not ever tell him...but watch the cost of all the other fines, fees, and gov. services go up up up! Watch more poor people get screwed in the name of this bailout.
Now - here's the really troubling part: The dumb, lame, irresponsible people living in all the nice homes who have over-extended themselves...they get to have part of the cost of the house "forgiven" (ie. that means they don't have to pay) AND they get to continue living in their house that they shouldn't have been in in the first place!!! For a hard-working guy like me, that pays his bills on time, what do I get??? Let's see, I take ona $2300+ burden that I didn't ask for, and so does everyone else I know.
My personal solution: Throw them out, lock up the homes. Sounds mean, eh? Well, not really and in the long term we dig ourselves out of a hole: the people thrown out need somewhere to live, right? Yes, so let's create NEW JOBS and build AFFORDABLE HOUSING. What about the empty homes? Well, let the foreigners come in and buy them and live there. They will pay taxes, the banks get paid, and we don't increase our debt to COMMUNIST CHINA!!!
As for our wonderfully corrupt, ignorant, and greedy Government: What bothers me the most about our govt in general is the amount of acceptable irresponsibility and stupidity on BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE. Nobody's talking about how this huge loan we're taking to bail out the idiots of this country is going to be managed, and at what cost.
If my small business of less than 10 people can see through this smoke screen, then why can't the "smart people" in govt???? And if they DO see what I'm saying, why is not being discussed?
We are going to end up creating another FOR-PROFIT corporation (like the US Post Office) that looks, acts, and smells like a govt. org, BUT THEY WILL BE LOOKING TO PROFIT! Unfortunately, we're the "customer" they profit from.
Finally, I'd like to pose a question: Isn't there MUCH BETTER things we can do with 700 BILLION DOLLARS? Wouldn't that provide food, medical attention, and housing for EVERY AMERICAN? Wouldn't that fund many many projects for finding new alternative energy? Wouldn't it create JOBS and stabilize our healthcare and economy?
These are my thoughts, from "Joe Six Pack". I'm probably to dumb to understand Goverment's reasoning, so they'll just not tell me.
