She is like the TS that thinks it's a hurricane! She looks like one, acts like one, but just doesn't have the wind speed to be an official one...but from this radar shot on the "um-teenth" day, here she is, STILL over land, and still looking pretty strong. It's NOT supposed to do this, especially over land.
We're still getting rain here in Boynton Beach! Amazing!

We've received from 8 to 33 INCHES of rain in the state since it started on August 17!!!! It's pretty flooded North of Palm Beach, especially in Pt. St. Lucie, where my mother lives. She called me yesterday and told me she's seeing kids paddling around in the streets on surfboards, people in small boats, sea-doos, kayaks, and the like. Pretty crazy. People's homes are flooded, and there's lots of water damage, even if no wind damage. If you're one of the people that's flooded - I hope you get some good relief from FEMA. If not, I want to hear about it.
The great part is that Lake Okeechobee is back up to levels that it's supposed to be. It's been incredibly low and we have been on water restrictions all year.
It's hard to say if this storm is worse then storms of 20 years ago, or if these storms are part of "global warming", but regardless, I hope it raises some awareness for some people who previously didn't care. I actually hope they come to our site, and learn how they can help Save The World.
